The house sits on a safe, quiet residential road in Tigoni — newly built in a country-villa style with a modern, open-plan interior. Large windows draw in the highland light, and the rooms are furnished with care, with artwork and photography throughout.

You arrive through a secure driveway into colourful flower beds, tea-tree borders, a vegetable garden and the chicken houses — the eggs are yours to use. Inside, two fireplaces and a cosy sitting area open onto the dining room, which in turn opens onto an extensive verandah. To the back is a covered seating area, perfect for reading or conversation even on cooler evenings, and beyond it the garden, with its iconic avocado tree at the centre.

The lawn is made for croquet, boules or cricket — all the equipment is here. The sunken hot tub is best after dark, under the stars, with music and a drink to hand. Internet is fast, the power is almost entirely off-grid and very reliable, and Grace is on hand for meals — you need only bring the ingredients and the drinks.
